A personal trainer is a qualified and experienced fitness coach who you engage to motivate, educate and support you to reach your health and fitness goals whatever they may be. At Health thru Fitness, we have a special passion for working with those enjoying life after 50 years as well as those who appreciate one-to-one guidance and support to meet their health goals. Typically our clients will include those looking to manage the symptoms of menopause, weight management, prehab/rehab, injury management or mobility issues.
Clients have the option of attending one or two 60 minute personal training sessions per week, which when combined with other exercise such as group classes, walking, running, cycling or swimming is a great balance.
At Health thru Fitness we honor people’s differences and are committed to creating a program specifically around your fitness goals. You will receive nutritional advice as it relates to your exercise program and how to exercise safely. All programs are personalised to your goals and specific to your body whether it be to lose weight, build lean muscle, improve functionality or a combination of all of these. As part of your package we will also develop a training plan as a road map for training on your own on the days you are not with us.
At Health thru Fitness we don’t use heavy equipment but we are big fans of using your body weight to increase strength and functionality for everyday life. The heaviest equipment we are likely to use is a barbell, kettlebell or dumbbell and most of our equipment fits in a sports bag but we can promise there will be lots of variety in your fitness program.
We are about a balanced attitude to fitness and develop our programs accordingly. If you are looking to train outside of the traditional gym environment or are intimidated by the loud crazy boot-camp options that you see in the local parks, then Health thru Fitness may be just what you are looking for. We strive to foster an environment of respect, safety and tolerance while educating you and encouraging you to have fun on your way to reaching your health and fitness goals. Your program can be developed to include both indoor and outdoor exercises and even exercising in the water during the warmer months if that is what you like.
Not sure if your budget can stretch to a personal trainer? Worried that you will get talked into something you can’t afford? We provide you with all your options and let you make the choice without any pressure. We offer not only private training (1:1), but also semi-private (2:1). Why not ask your spouse/partner or a friend to train with you to reduce the cost. Or perhaps you belong to a small social group and would like to train together and even incorprate it into your weekly coffee catch-ups.
To help you budget, we offer Direct Debit options so you can pay weekly, fortnightly, monthly or quarterly for 3, 6 and 12 month commitment plans. There are no joining fees, but you will be asked to make a minimum 3 month commitment because this is a sensible length of time to start seeing results.
